What is Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is an injectable filler used to treat wrinkles and improve volume in the face. The injections are meant to stimulate the body to produce additional collagen.

Radiesse® is a semi-permanent filler and can last for 12 to 18 months. Radiesse® is easy to use and our practice has had no serious complications with it. We stay away from two areas that are problematic for Radiesse®. We do not use the product under the eyes or in the lips because of the consistency of the product (it is a thicker gel than Radiesse® of Restylane).

What are the side effects of Radiesse®?

The most likely side effects are swelling, bruising or redness. Swelling is most common side effect for our practice.

Who should administer Radiesse®?

Radiesse® should be performed by an MD or DO. Nurse practitioners are allowed to do Radiesse® and are usually trained by the company or physician

How much does is Radiesse® cost?

Approximate cost is $150 To $750 depending on the size of the syringe and the amount used.
